Over the past few years, CAMMAC Productions has quietly built a body of work rooted in emotionally honest, psychologically driven storytelling. From intimate mental health dramas to tense relationship thrillers and dystopian social allegories, the studio’s recent short films reflect a clear creative mission: to tell stories that linger long after the credits roll.
Founded by filmmaker Charles Celestin, CAMMAC began as a micro-production house with a simple goal — to bring introspective ideas to life through story and imagination. What started as a small, self-driven operation has grown into a focused creative team producing carefully crafted short films designed for festivals, online audiences, and future streaming platforms.
“The film is designed to continue long after the credits roll…”
The 2022 psychological drama Much marked a turning point for the studio. Following Amber’s internal battle with fear, regret, and emotional overwhelm, the film explored mental health with quiet vulnerability and emotional restraint. Written as a personal but universal reflection of inner struggle, Much established CAMMAC’s commitment to stories that give voice to invisible battles and start meaningful conversations.
That commitment continued with COVERS, an 11-minute marital drama set on an anniversary night that descends into a war of secrets and emotional betrayal. Directed by Celestin and starring Yasmin Branch and Miles Jones, the film transformed a bedroom into a psychological battlefield, exploring trust, intimacy, and the terrifying cost of hidden truths. With its slow-burn tension and claustrophobic intensity, COVERS pushed CAMMAC further into character-driven suspense storytelling.
Most recently, DISPENSE took the studio into dystopian territory, imagining a world where social media validation becomes a physical drug dispensed from smartphones. Starring Vissolela Lucas and told entirely without dialogue, the film explored addiction, digital validation, and modern loneliness through a chilling metaphor. In 2024, DISPENSE won Best Short Fiction at the Screaming Droid Film Festival, marking CAMMAC’s first major festival win and a significant milestone for the studio.
Together, these films represent more than individual projects. They form the foundation of CAMMAC’s creative identity: socially conscious, emotionally grounded, and unafraid to confront uncomfortable truths about modern life, relationships, and the human mind.
As CAMMAC Productions moves forward, the focus remains the same — to create original short films that challenge, provoke, and resonate. With new projects in development and a growing international audience, this next chapter is just beginning.
